Across the third lane of the expressway/ i spotted her look my way/
bluetooth in ear conversin wit friend or fam/ long as it aint her man ima eazy-pass some class her way/
this day.. a Thursday of mines/ my day out the week where my superpower's inclined/
so im at 72 a lil too fast/ she prolly 65 or 67 on the dash/ so i ease up on the accelerator and hit my right blinker/
ease into the third lane n she corner-of-the eyes smiles a "nice to meet ya"/ mmmm hm
i smile back in recognition/ now here's the mission: to make a connection 10 miles over the speed limit/
stay subtle n semi-suave still avoidin any collision/
"can u read my lips?"/ she nods yes "u a trip, wats ur name?"/
Reggie. - "Danny?"/ No Reggie. - "Debbie?" - No b*^#h, Reg-gie!! - "Reggae?"/
Cot damn, my exit up next and she tryin my patience/ she cute but not worth the frustrations/
but the mission is worth completin not wastin/ so i deep breath n try sumthin else/
"Sweetie... where's ya phone?" n she holds it to the window/ "punch these numbers in n then press send"/
"ok, im ready" -"seven-one-eight, three-oh-oh"/ i lip her the rest n she dials em up slow/
mission complete i exit n she exit rite behind me/ now she in my rear-view... umm kinda weird... but ok cool/ im up the FDR Drive thru the BX into Pelham Park, slide out Tonka n she still behind in her car/
she still in her convo so i dont approach jus yet/ casually walk to the BBQ and spot my Auntie Lizzette/
she says "Hey Earl" and waves to shorty I jus connected to/ now my face is slightly screwed/
"you kno her Auntie?" / "Duh Earl, and now u do too- meet your cousin from Florida, Lauren" ........
"um... hey, nice to meet you"
